Matthew 11:28
This music is free to listen to. If it moves you, consider supporting the ministry.
You've been carrying the whole world on your shoulders
Trying to be enough for everyone around
Your bones are tired, your spirit's getting colder
And you keep running, but there's nothing left to give out
But there's a grace that's not earned by your striving
A rest that comes when you stop trying to arrive
Lay it down, lay it down
Every burden, every weight, lay it down
Come and rest in arms that will not bend or break
You were never meant to carry what I hold
Lay it down
You've confused your worth with what you can produce
Made yourself a machine and forgot the use
Of green pastures and still water and quiet hills
Of a God who made the Sabbath and calls you still
So come as you are — not as you wish you were
Lay down the pressure and the performance here
He makes me lie down in green pastures
He leads me beside still waters
He restores — He restores my soul
And He walks with me through every shadow
Till the rest becomes the road
He restores my soul
Lay it down... you can lay it down
You are loved enough to rest
Lay it down
